County Utterly Ignores Residents, and concedes everything to developer!

by Hawke Robinson last modified Jul 26, 2016 05:37 PM
The decision on the Redstone Plat is finally in, and the county not only gave away everything to the developer, they did not implement even one single recomendation, and worse yet recommended cutting away at neighbors tress on their private property! Call the county, the press, anyone, try to have your voice heard somehow.

The Hearing Examiner's decision was depressing to say the least.  I really was expecting some conditions to be applied to the development which would be in our favor.....but we got absolutely nothing!!

An appeal of Dempsey's decision to the courts would be our next step if we were to take this any further.  I'm not sure of the cost involved, and  I am not the least bit optimistic that we would prevail there, especially with Bill and his free legal expertise help now gone.

It does appear that we would need to buy  the "expert testimony of professionals" as only Whipple and the County engineers were considered to to have any opinion or credentials worth consideration.

Forest Hills Homeowners spent over $400 on the SEPA appeal and is not in a position to spend much more.  If we were to pursue this further, there could be considerable expense involved for which everyone would have to contribute.  We would need to hire an attorney as well as pay professional engineers to do evaluations for us.

As for poor Dick Olson and his trees, they couldn't even get his name right in the report.  His name is Olson, not Wilson!  And now they will just chop off the offending overhanging branches anyhow.

Let's see what neighbors think.  Please post this e-mail on the n. fivemile website.  Thanks
